Britney Spears reunites with mom Lynne after years-long feud

Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne Spears, flew to Los Angeles Wednesday to reconnect with her pop star daughter after years of public feuding.

The “Through the Storm” author was photographed arriving at LAX airport ahead of the long-awaited meetup.

She first stopped at Britney’s friend and manager Cade Hudson‘s home and then took an Uber to her daughter’s mansion, according to TMZ.

The hangout reportedly only lasted about 30 minutes, and the “Gimme More” singer’s husband, Sam Asghari, was also present.

A source confirms to Page Six that Britney was not blindsided by her mom’s visit, as the two have been “texting more frequently” lately.

The “Hold Me Closer” singer, 41, extended a public olive branch to Lynne, 68, in late 2022.

“After no coffee for 15 years … Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!” she wrote on Instagram last December.

However, just two months prior, Britney went on a tirade against her mother.

In October 2022, Lynne apologized to the “Toxic” singer via Instagram for all the pain she suffered during her 13-year conservatorship.

“I love you so much and miss you!” she added at the time.

“Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”

Britney then blasted Lynne on her social media, telling her to go “f–k herself.”

That same month, the Grammy winner called out her mom for allegedly hitting her once.

“The first time I ever got slapped was the one night Paris [Hilton] and Lindsay [Lohan] dropped me off at my beach house with my babies,” Britney claimed in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“My mother was watching [my sons] Jayden and Preston…yes I partied till like 4am and my mother was PISSED !!!! I walked in, she looked at me and hit me so hard that I will never forget it !!!”

Britney has also blamed Lynne over the years for allowing her “abusive” conservatorship to be put in place by her father, Jamie Spears, noting that her mother was seemingly aware her hospitalization was imminent leading up to the guardianship being solidified in February 2008.

“I know now it was all premeditated,” the “Stronger” singer claimed in a since-deleted YouTube clip. “A woman introduced the idea to my dad, and my mom helped him actually follow through and made it all happen.”

Lynne, for her part, has maintained that she always tried to “do her best” when it came to her daughter, writing on Instagram in August 2022, “I have never and will never turn my back on you!”
