Michelle Obama has pulled out all the style stops on her book tour for her memoir, “Becoming.”
The former FLOTUS has already wowed audiences with her sparkling $18K millennial pink suit in Denmark and thigh-high glitter Balenciaga boots in Brooklyn, and now she’s going even bolder, attending the Atlanta, Georgia, stop of her tour in a sequin bustier and royal purple suit.
For the Q&A held at the State Farm Arena on May 11, the best-selling author wore a custom silk crepe two-piece suit in a deep eggplant hue with brass button detailing at the wrist and finished off with a silk satin belt around her high waist, all based off a design from Sergio Hudson’s fall 2019 collection.
She paired the suit with dangling diamond earrings, a staggering pair of black stilettos by Gianvito Rossi and a custom black sequin bustier top by Christy Rilling Studio who has been her personal tailor since 2009.
