Amazon head Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend, Lauren Sánchez, are engaged, an insider close to the couple tells Page Six exclusively.
The pair are in the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival, where they have been hitting the star-studded party circuit while staying on his $500 million yacht with a mermaid resembling Sanchez adorning the prow.
Rumors have been swirling this week as Sánchez, 53, was seen with a diamond on her ring finger.
The 59-year-old billionaire and the broadcast journalist have been inseparable since they started dating in 2018.
News broke that they were a couple in 2019, but the duo kept a low profile until his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, was finalized.
Sánchez, who has traveled the world with Bezos during their courtship, said in November 2022 that she plans to follow in the Blue Origin founder’s footsteps and go to space.
“It’ll be a great group of females,” she said of the trip’s potential crew.
While the former news anchor said Bezos would not join her on the expedition, she gushed about him in a January interview with WSJ. Magazine.
“He’s so happy, he inspires me every day, he makes me a better person every day; he’s the most loving human I know,” she told the outlet.
She also raved about the businessman in a sweet birthday tribute in January.

“Happy birthday to the man of my dreams, who lights up my world with his laughter and kind heart,” she wrote on Instagram.
“You have shown me that no great love is not bravely fought for. Thank you for always being by my side and for being the most loving and supportive partner.”
Page Six exclusively revealed that Bezos and Sánchez were dating just days after his and his ex-wife’s divorce was announced in January 2019. Rumors of the couple’s engagement began swirling as early as December 2019, when she was spotted sporting a massive heart-shaped ring.
Sánchez at the time was separated from Hollywood talent mogul Patrick Whitesell.
Sánchez and Whitesell, 58, have two kids together: Ella, 15, and Evan, 16.
She also shares 22-year-old son Nikko with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
Scott, 53, who shares four children with Bezos, got $38 billion in the divorce settlement, pledging half to charity.
The settlement made her the third-richest woman in the world with 25 percent of the exes’ joint stock in Amazon, though Bezos kept voting control over her nearly 20 million shares.

Bezos — who is worth $139 billion — also maintained his interests in the Washington Post, which he bought in 2013, and his space company, Blue Origin.
Scott tweeted at the time that she was “grateful to have finished the process” of dissolving their marriage “with support from each other,” adding that she was “happy to be giving [Bezos] all of my interests in the Washington Post and Blue Origin, and 75% of our Amazon stock plus voting control of my shares to support his continued contributions with the teams of these incredible companies.”
She married teacher Dan Jewett in March 2021, but the pair split less than two years later.
While Scott and Bezos reportedly did not have a prenup, the novelist likely protected her assets the second time around, an expert told Business Insider in October 2022.
However, the details of their potential prenuptial agreement have not been made public.
