Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are officially over.
The “Due South” alum, 56, announced their divorce on Saturday after 17 years of marriage and five children together.
“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own,” he wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram.
“We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time,” he added.
“We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness. 🙏.”
Fans reacted to the shocking news in the comments section of McDermott’s post.
“I’m wishing your family all the best from here on in for the future. Life throws some curved balls indeed, I’ve had a f–ken few thrown at me, however onwards & upwards for you guys,” wrote one fan.

McDermott and Spelling, 50, share sons Liam, 16, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6, and daughters Stella, 15, and Hattie, 11.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum and the Canadian actor have repeatedly brushed off rumors about their marital issues despite mounting evidence that a split was imminent.

Rumblings of a separation first began when Spelling was spotted without her wedding ring in March 2021.
The “BH90210” alum then admitted two months later that she and McDermott had been sleeping in separate rooms.
“Right now, my kids and dogs sleep in my bed,” she told her pal Jeff Lewis on his SiriusXM radio show that June, adding that the former “Chopped Canada” host had left for “another country” to film a project.
McDermott then addressed the rumors himself in September 2021, downplaying that there was any marital strife.
“It’s just weird that people need to know,” he said on a podcast. “‘What’s going on with Tori and Dean? She’s not wearing her ring.’ Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?”
McDermott concluded, “I don’t reply anymore. It’s just like, ‘OK, if that’s what you want to think, then think it.’”
Shortly after, Spelling added fuel to the fire with a series of paparazzi photos of her seeming enraged outside of a lawyer’s office the following month.
As the “Messyness” co-host shouted into her cellphone in the pics, she was also seen holding onto a notepad that mentioned “assets,” “support” and “custody.”
Still, Spelling and McDermott avoided confirming their divorce and put on a united front during a family trip to Disneyland just two days later.
However, that November, Spelling was spotted with moving boxes, and by the time the holidays rolled around, the estranged couple was living apart, according to People.
Spelling shared on Thanksgiving that year that she spent the day with just her daughters and later posted a photo of her family’s Christmas stockings — without McDermott’s.
The now-estranged couple have had a rocky marriage from the start.
Spelling and McDermott met in Ottawa, Canada, while filming the TV movie “Mind Over Murder” in 2005 while both were still married to other people.
Less than a month after Spelling finalized her divorce from Charlie Shanian, she and McDermott tied the knot in a private ceremony in Fiji in May 2006.
However, in late 2013, the actor admitted to cheating on Spelling, which became the basis for their 2014 Lifetime docuseries, “True Tori.”
