Amanda Bynes was likely living “on the streets for days” before she called police on herself after suffering a mental break.
Sources close to the former “Amanda Show” star told TMZ Wednesday that her car had been towed in Long Beach, Calif., on March 15.
The area is about 40 miles from her home and 15 miles from where she was found in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday.
The outlet’s sources believe Bynes may have hitchhiked or taken public transportation to get around and eventually made her way to Hollywood, where she was spotted in a fan’s TikTok video just days before being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
Bynes’ attorney didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
In the video — which was shared by @kaitlynhotfox Monday but filmed on March 17 — the “All That” alum could be seen holding onto the TikToker’s arm as they walked together.
“Amanda, say, ‘What’s up?’” the social media user said to the camera before Bynes, 36, responded, “What’s up?”
The TikToker explained that she had seen the actress walking the streets of Hollywood on St. Patrick’s Day and felt compelled to greet her.
In the caption, however, the user made it clear that Bynes, who was previously diagnosed with bipolar disorder, was unwell at the time of their run-in.
“Happy shes [sic] getting the help she needs. she was sweet, gave her some money and talked. sometime ppl [sic] just sb [sic] to talk to,” she wrote.

In the clip, Bynes wore her hair in a high bun and dressed in an all-black outfit. She completed the look with silver jewelry and long nails, which likely stem from her burgeoning career as a manicurist.
The “Easy A” actress’s appearance in the social media video came just two days before she was placed on the 5150 hold Sunday for roaming the streets of LA naked.
While the initial hold lasts 72 hours, TMZ reported that Bynes’ will be extended until she fully recovers.
Her ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, claimed to us that she had been “off her meds” prior to her psychiatric episode.
