Just days before Amanda Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold, the actress was spotted walking in Hollywood with a fan.
In a TikTok video — which was shared by user @kaitlynhotfox on Monday but filmed on March 17 — the “All That” alum could be seen holding onto the TikToker’s arm as they walked together.
“Amanda say, ‘What’s up?'” the TikToker said to the camera before Bynes, 36, responded, “What’s up?”
Kaitlyn explained that she had seen the actress walking the streets of Hollywood on St. Patrick’s Day and “I had to say ‘What’s up?.'”
However, she claimed in the caption, “Happy shes [sic] getting the help she needs. she was sweet, gave her some money and talked. sometime ppl [sic] just sb [sic] to talk to.”
In the clip, Bynes sported a bun at the top of her head and a black outfit. She completed the look with silver jewelry and long nails.
After the TikToker uploaded the video, a multitude of fans rushed to the comment section to send their love for the actress.
“Hollyweird does such a number on these child stars. It breaks my heart. Sending love to you Amanda. I literally want to cry 🥺,” one person wrote.
“Ugh my heart hurts for her. So many of us grew up watching her and she gave so much and I dont think she had enough people protecting her,” another added.
“I wish Amanda nothing but the very best. She is so so talented, and it’s sad to see her having a difficult time,” a third supporter commented.
Bynes’ appearance in the TikTok video came just two days before she was placed on a psychiatric hold for roaming the streets of Los Angeles naked.
On Sunday, the former Nickelodeon star — who has previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder — flagged down a car while nude and told the driver of the vehicle that she was coming down from a psychotic episode, an eyewitness told TMZ.
After Bynes reportedly called 911 on herself, she was taken to a local police station, where a mental health expert determined that she needed to be placed in a hospital or mental health facility for treatment.

At the time, Bynes’ ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, told Page Six exclusively that the “She’s the Man” star has allegedly been “off her meds.”
“She got off her meds, and she’s still off her meds,” he alleged. “She’s wild.”
The incident came nearly one year after Bynes was freed from her conservatorship, which lasted almost nine years.
At the time, a judge determined that her parents Rick and Lynn Bynes’ legal guardianship over her and her estate was “no longer required.” Her attorney, David Esquibias, later said that she was “doing very well.”
Bynes and her ex-fiancé called it quits in July 2022 but have remained close friends. Last December, they were spotted together running errands in LA.
