“Days of Our Lives” actor Cody Longo’s cause of death has been revealed.
The 34-year-old died from years of excessive drinking, according to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office in Austin, Texas.
An autopsy report obtained by TMZ Monday cited “chronic ethanol abuse” and listed the manner of death as natural.
The document also revealed Longo’s body was already decomposing when he was found dead at his home in February, surrounded by alcohol bottles.
Page Six has reached out to his rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The soap opera star, who played Nicholas Alamain on the long-running NBC series in 2011, is survived by his wife, professional dancer Stephanie Longo, and their three children: Lyla, 7, Elijah, 5, and Noah, 1.
“Cody was our whole world,” Stephanie said in a statement after Cody’s death. “The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated.”

She went on, “He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”
The “Hollywood Heights” star’s manager also spoke out about the news at the time.
“Cody was a dear friend, going back many years, before he was a client,” Alex Gittelson said in a statement.
“My heart breaks for his amazing wife and kids. He had taken some time away from acting to pursue his music career and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly, and he was excited to get back into acting this year,” he added.
“Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person, and he will be greatly missed.”
Before his death, the “Bring It On: Fight to the Finish” star had faced some legal troubles, including a DUI arrest in 2013.
A member of the Longo family told TMZ that Cody had struggled with alcohol abuse for years.
He is believed to have entered rehab in the summer of 2022, and Stephanie told the outlet that he had been working hard on himself for the sake of their kids.
