Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins couldn’t be happier for her TLC “sister.”
The “No Scrubs” chart topper said she’s “never seen” Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas “so happy” since she started dating Matthew Lawrence.
“Take it from her sister. Trust me — I’ve never seen her like this,” T-Boz, 52, told People at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards Monday.
Chilli chimed in, “I am ecstatic. He’s the best, and she approves.”
The “Waterfalls” singer confirmed she was dating her fellow 90s icon in January, nearly five months after they first sparked romance rumors.
Despite their relatively low-key relationship, the “Boy Meets World” actor found himself in the headlines earlier this month when he told “Entertainment Tonight” that he and Chilli have a “game plan” to start a family.
Chilli, 52, later explained that her boyfriend’s comments were taken out of context and he was actually referring to his older brother Joey Lawrence’s family plans.
“They didn’t show that part but when you go on there and you see the whole interview then you see he was not talking about us working on having a baby … because that’s not what’s happening,” the singer — who is already a mom to son Tron, 25, with ex Dallas Austin — clarified on the “Ryan Cameron Uncensored” radio show.
The songstress didn’t totally shut down the idea of having kids with the actor, coyly telling the radio host, “you never know.”
“I would never say that [I’m done with families],” she went on, as she burst into nervous laughter.
“I gotta be married for sure … and I’m not married, yet.”
Matthew, 43, also clarified that he wasn’t trying to put “pressure” on his girlfriend with his initial comments.

“Joe and I were commiserating about this plan that we had to have children together … when we were growing up. And I missed the first go around and now he’s starting a new family and I was thinking, ‘Man, it’d be great if we could do it again when I didn’t have the chance to raise a family together,'” he told E! News.
“So that’s what I meant by that. I didn’t mean to put any pressure on somebody I was dating or anything.”
While Chilli shares one son with her songwriter ex, Matthew was previously married to Cheryl Burke.
The former couple, who don’t share any kids, said “I do” in 2019 but called it quits three years later, and finalized their divorce in September 2022.
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum was supportive of her ex upon hearing he was hoping to start a family.
“I really, truly hope he can actually have a kid with Chilli,” she said on a recent episode of “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever with Chris Harrison.”
