Kim Zolciak, Kroy Biermann unfollow each other amid shocking divorce

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have unfollowed each other on Instagram just days after news of their divorce broke online.

However, the former NFL player still follows his estranged wife’s older children – Brielle, 26, and Brielle, 21 – on social media, despite the eldest recently unfollowing her adoptive father.

Biermann has seemingly been active on Instagram lately, as it appeared that he added “My ring Meant a Thing” to his Instagram bio this week.

The quote is a reference to Zolciak’s 2011 song, “The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing.”

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, for her part, recently shared an Instagram Story of her appearing carefree and smiling without wearing her wedding ring.

Neither Zolciak, 44, nor Biermann, 37, have directly addressed the shocking split.

The former pro athlete filed for divorce on May 5, two days before the ex-Bravolebrity also asked the court to end their marriage.

The separation has taken a nasty turn with the two fighting over sole legal and physical custody of their four minor kids: Kroy “KJ” Jr., 11, Kash, 10, and 9-year-old twins Kane and Kaia.

Since the split became public on Monday, reports have suggested that the estranged couple’s financial woes played a significant role.

TMZ reported that the duo owe more than $1 million in unpaid taxes to the IRS and $15,000 to the state of Georgia.

“The money has been a huge issue,” a source told People on Monday. “The million-dollar tax [payment] was just way too much pressure on them.”

However, a source previously told Page Six that financial issues “played a factor” but were not the sole reason for the dissolution of the former couple’s marriage.

Another insider also insisted to People that there was “no cheating on either side” and reinstated that there were “other factors” that led to their decision.

“He’s been managing [the family] for a long time, so he technically did have a job. They’re not on good terms right now,” the source added.

Despite the split turning sour, Zolciak and Biermann are living together as a source confirmed to Page Six that they are still “under the same roof.”
