Kate Middleton takes a walk on the wild side in leopard-print dress

No more neutrals for this princess.

Kate Middleton chose an uncharacteristically bold print as she visited a children’s center today, with the royal wearing a bright leopard-print shirt dress for her trip to Nuneaton, England.

The Princess of Wales, 41, stepped away from her usual solids and wore a new green silk midi dress from Cefinn ($493) as she continued her early childhood development mission at the Riversley Park Children’s Centre.

She paired the dress with white Jimmy Choo pumps, a white Mulberry bag and a new pair of earrings from one of her favorite jewelry brands, Kiki McDonough, choosing a green amethyst version ($881) of the citrine drops ($881) she already owns.

While several commenters on the Royal Fashion Police Instagram account called her dress “cute” and “gorgeous,” fashion fans seemed to take issue with her 1980s-style white pumps.

“She looks lovely and fresh especially in this hot weather,” one Instagram user wrote. “Not a fan of the white shoes though.”

“Team ‘I really can’t stand white court shoes’,” another added, while a third commenter wrote, “I really dislike those white high heels she wears regularly. It’s like 80s hype.”

Polarizing shoes aside, the princess — who wore her hair in loose waves for today’s visit — experienced a hilarious moment when a baby loudly burped as she was in the middle of speaking.

The moment was captured on the Daily Mail Royals TikTok account, with a group of parents laughing loudly as Middleton exclaimed, “Well done, you!”

The mom of three spoke with staff who are taking part in a study funded by her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood that takes a look at distress in babies, and she also greeted local school children who gathered outside the center.

The Princess of Wales wasn’t the only member of the royal family getting in on the green shirt dress action this week.

Queen Camilla also wore a printed frock in the color while attending a bee-themed garden party and a naming ceremony for a new Household Calvary Drum Horse yesterday, with her Samantha Sung belted dress ($859) featuring a white polka dot print.

Perhaps these stylish royals can coordinate for an event this summer.
